Thrower-jewel returns to UAC Kulmbach
Naila / Kulmbach - The currently outstanding talent in the Upper Franconian athletics scene, the German B-youth hammer throw champion, Simon Long, the UAC changes from LAV Naila Kulmbach. Stands for the 17-year vocational high school, which this year screwed his Hammerwurfbestweite to 75.04 meters by six meters, and thus lead the ranking of the German U18, and in seventh place in the world rankings, only professional sport reasons are decisive. For years, gets Simon Long's training plans, instructions, and special training Equipement from Kulmbach BLV-base coach Martin Ständner and trains often in Kulmbach sports halls or on the thrower center in Stadtsteinach that the Rasenkraft athletes of TSV Stadtsteinach (for which Simon also had half a dozen German championships won) and benefit the athletes of the UAC in Kulmbach cooperation.
An excellent basic training in athletics was long but Simon gives the LAV Naila, where the talented thrower under the direction of dedicated practice manager Walter Opavsky eg three times the Bavarian champion (shot put, discus, javelin) in the AK 14 was. The development in its present special discipline works phenomenally for many outside observers, but Simon's coach Martin Ständner "the ball keeps flat": "Simon has this year several times with a lot of flat trajectory of the biomechanics measured, departure speeds produced, which are slightly higher than that of Betty Heidler in her world record of 79.42 meters. This is our standard. That's our job site, "said the coach, the short-term successes are not the most important thing, because" youth are relatively successful, "Martin Ständner-looking, including the Kai Green in 2008 with the German "athletic talent of the year" to say. Success has, however, the young Simon from Langenbach exhibit long enough already. Thus, the 17 year olds, 2010 German Winter Throwing Champion in 2011 and won the national title in the summer at each of the B-youth. Even the international terrain is Frankenwälder not unknown. 2010 was Simon e.g. in the continental qualification for the Youth Olympics in Moscow and thereby won the individual competition at the Under-18 international match Germany-Poland in Pirna. In the 2011 season, qualified for the U18 Long Simon World Cup in Lille / France. The World Cup ran for the cannon talent but not very happy and successful. But Simon already has new goals in mind. The U20 World Cup 2012 in Barcelona for example is one of them. Concentrating on the essentials, to sport professionally important things are expected to provide long-Simon in the jersey of the UAC Kulmbach one step further.
