The Thrower Center Kulmbach / Stadtsteinach has his main residence with a clean throw and athletic grounds in Stadtsteinach city (see map). In addition, the athletes use the tool several gyms in Kulmbach and weight room in the basement of coach Martin Ständner. Supports are the two clubs UAC Kulmbach and TSV Stadtsteinach. The Thrower center also has the status of federal base / Rasenkraftsport and athletics land base. In Stadtsteinach all the requirements for a performance-based training for all throwing events are available. - The childhood home of the first German hammer throw champion Simone Mathes

(left, shown here with the old holder of the world record Mihaela Melinte / Romania on the thrower plant in the Franconian Forest), is only a stone's throw from the thrower center Stadtsteinach.

- Horst Ständner (right, shown here with his brother and coach Martin) in the mid 80s, mixed in the discus competition of the national junior and was the first German athletics champion from the thrower center Stadtsteinach.
